Spain is the world's
largest exporter of citrus fruits (in volume). This is because the
quality of the Spanish citrus fruits is excellent.
As a consequence of
this, an increasingly important processing industry has arisen. We
consider that the strength of the fresh fruit industry is a
guarantee that there will be supplies of fresh lemons, oranges and
clementines, also for the processing industry (often suffering
from stronger price pressure), for many years to come.
For more detailed information
on the varieties, crop times etc of each one of the citrus fruits which
we process, please go to the links.
Only a limited amount of
white and pink grapefruits are grown in Spain (around 30.000
tons). And an even smaller quantity of Blood Oranges.
Limes and Bergamots are not grown.
